Chris Singleton Visits West Essex - Unity in Our Communities
As
part of our School Culture and Climate Initiative, Mr. Chris Singleton
visited the West Essex Regional School District for two presentations on
Monday, November 13, 2023. He spoke to all staff and students, grades
7-8 (middle school) and to all students in staff in grades 9-12 (high
school) and joined a
small group of students from our school climate committees for
lunch.
Chris Singleton Bio:
Chris
Singleton is a former professional baseball player drafted by the
Chicago Cubs in 2017. Following the loss of his mother in a racially
motivated mass shooting, Chris became an inspirational speaker and
best-selling author who has shared his message of unity and racial
reconciliation. Chris has spoken with NFL and NBA teams, as well as
multiple Fortune 500 companies across the country. He works with over
100 organizations and over 30,000 students annually. Chris resides with
his spouse Mariana and three children in Charleston, SC.
