Damion Macioci
Superintendent of Schools
Mr. Macioci begins his 26th year in education with 20 years having been spent in administrative roles. He began his career in 1999 in the School District of the Chathams, serving as a Teacher of Health and Physical Education, Athletic Trainer, and Strength and Conditioning Coach. From 2004-2008, Mr. Macioci was employed in the Randolph Township School District as the Pre-K-12 Supervisor of Health Services, Physical Education, and Athletics.
In 2008, Mr. Macioci started in the West Essex Regional School District as the Director of Athletics and Supervisor of Health and Physical Education for grades 7-12. He served in this position until April of 2015.
From April of 2015 to August of 2015, Mr. Macioci served as the Assistant Principal at Heritage Middle School in Livingston. Mr. Macioci then returned to West Essex in August of 2015 to the position of Assistant Principal at West Essex Regional High School, while also serving as the School Safety Specialist for the District. In 2018, Mr. Macioci also worked as an adjunct faculty member at Seton Hall University in the College of Education and Human Services.
Mr. Macioci started as the Superintendent of Schools in the West Essex Regional School District on July 1, 2019.
Mr. Macioci completed his undergraduate education at William Paterson University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree. He then attended Montclair State University where he obtained a Master of Arts Degree, with a concentration in Teaching and Supervision. In 2007, Mr. Macioci completed the NJEXCEL Educational Leadership Program through the Foundation for Educational Administration and the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association. Recently, Mr. Macioci was accepted into the doctoral program in Educational Leadership at Caldwell University.
