Once again, West Essex is hosting its annual Holiday Toy Drive! Help make a difference for our community by contributing one of the items listed on the flier. We are collecting a variety of items for kids aged 1 - 14. Please note that all items must be new and unwrapped. Drop off your items at WEHS - see the flier for specifics. Happy Holidays!

This past week, we honored our wonderful support staff with a delicious holiday luncheon! Our hardworking secretaries, aides, custodians, office staff, and all those who keep our building running smoothly are truly the unsung heroes of our schools - we couldn’t do it without them.

On Wednesday, November 25, Mr. Matthew Leeds, North Caldwell resident and member of the Historic Preservation Commission, visited West Essex High School for a presentation of local art and history. Specifically, Mr. Leeds spoke to various art and social studies students about "the most significant painting of North Caldwell in existence."

On Sunday, November 23rd, the West Essex High School auditorium was filled with guests attending a special Italian Heritage celebration presented by D’Italia Programs. The event, Sicilia Bedda – Beautiful Sicily, showcased the Coro d’Italia, an Italian American singing and dancing ensemble, alongside talented West Essex High School students.

On November 20th, the West Essex High School Guidance Department welcomed representatives from the US Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corp, National Guard, West Point Academy, and the US Air and Space Force. Students had the opportunity to stop by the cafeteria to learn more about the many ways they can serve our country through the various branches of our armed forces.
