NJSLA Testing

Beginning in the Spring of 2019, the PARCC assessment was replaced with the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) for all subject areas. Despite the name change, the format of the assessment has remained the same, and the content will continue to be aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS).  The number of testing units was reduced, and the state decided in March 2019 that 11th graders will no longer be assessed in Math or ELA. Juniors will still, however, be required to take the NJSLA in Science. More details about the assessments and the NJDOE's other proposed changes can be found at https://www.state.nj.us/education/assessment/
