On May 14, 2026, the West Essex Regional School District Board of Education proudly participated in the recent Essex County School Boards Association Meeting held at West Essex High School, where educational leadership, student achievement, and public service were recognized and celebrated.

The district is especially proud that West Essex Board of Education member and current Board President, Maryadele Wojtowicz, a dedicated resident of North Caldwell, was honored for 20 years of exemplary service to the Board of Education and the school community.

For two decades, Ms. Wojtowicz has devoted countless volunteer hours to the North Caldwell and West Essex communities supporting students, staff, and families while helping guide the district through both everyday challenges and extraordinary moments, including the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her steady leadership, commitment to public education, and unwavering advocacy for students have made a lasting impact on the district and community.

Board of Education members serve an essential role in public education, volunteering their time to establish policies, oversee district goals and finances, and ensure schools continue to provide excellent educational opportunities for all students. Their service reflects a strong commitment to the success and well-being of the entire school community.

The district congratulates Ms. Wojtowicz on this meaningful recognition and thanks all Board of Education members for their dedication, leadership, and continued service to public education!
