Where Beauty Meets Community: Introducing WE GlamourGals

West Essex High School has a new club making a big impact, and a little sparkle, one visit at a time: WE GlamourGals.

WE GlamourGals connects West Essex High School students with residents at local senior care centers through friendship, conversation, and fun beauty makeovers. The club regularly visits Sunrise of West Essex, where students spend time talking, laughing, and building real connections with residents while offering complimentary beauty services like nail painting, light makeup, and simple hairstyling.

The goal is simple but powerful: create moments where everyone feels seen, valued, and uplifted. The visits turn into easygoing, joy-filled gatherings where stories are shared, laughter is common, and confidence gets a little boost on both sides of the room.

From seniors to senior citizens, the impact goes both ways. Residents gain companionship, confidence, and a stronger sense of community, while students develop leadership skills, empathy, and the kind of fulfillment that comes from genuinely giving back.
