Faculty & Staff Learn About AI, Enjoy Lunch by Local Businesses

On Tuesday, February 18th, West Essex Faculty and Staff attended professional development seminars and workshops involving artificial intelligence (AI) and its implications on education. After an introductory keynote address on the benefits and challenges of AI in the classroom, teachers had the opportunity to choose from a plethora of sessions like AI in STEM, AI for Social Emotional Learning, creative AI for art and music, and more.
Faculty and staff were treated to a delicious lunch that was donated by local businesses! A huge thank you to Hollywood Pizza (Fairfield), Il Panino (Fairfield), Delizia Pizza Kitchen (Fairfield), Gencarelli’s Restaurant (Pine Brook), Zest (Fairfield), and The Cannoli Shop (Fairfield) for their generous donations and support of West Essex. The pizza, chicken, pasta, salad, cookies, brownies, and cannolis were delicious! We’d also like to thank our amazing cafeteria staff (Pomptonian) for providing coffee and paper products, the administration for some tasty drinks, and New Jersey Spine and Joint of Cedar Grove for providing our staff with complimentary chair massages.
