In December 2015, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), formerly NCLB, reauthorized the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). ESEA requires that parents play an active role in their child's education. The importance of parent involvement and the positive impact it has on student achievement is well-documented.
