FACT: Over 1 million people were "food insecure' in New Jersey in 2010. Of those, 45% are not eligible for federal nutrition assistance. Most of us here at West Essex High School do not have to worry about being hungry. Many of our fellow citizens do. The "Cooking 4 a Cause" club is running a food drive from April 25th to May 5th. To help those less fortunate, please bring in your non-perishable food items and place them in the baskets in the front lobby.
Attention Seniors: The deadline date for scholarships is fast approaching. Check the West Essex website for applications and deadline dates.
REMEMBER: The American Red Cross Blood Drive is TODAY!!! You were given passes on Friday from your homeroom teachers.
