Voter Information
Get Out & Vote in the Tuesday, November 3rd General Election!
The West Essex Regional School District bond referendum will appear as two questions on the Tuesday, November 3rd general election ballot.
Every vote counts, so your participation is important!
Make your plan to vote on election day, early in person, or by mail today with the information below.
What will the ballot look like?

Voters will be asked for permission to borrow the full amount in each question (Question 1 is $41,926,384 and Question 2 is $7,493,250). Even though state aid will reduce those amounts, the school district would be named as the debt holder, so voter approval is needed for the full amounts.
Much like a homeowner would finance improvements through a home equity loan, the district would pay for projects by borrowing (through the sale of bonds) and spread those costs over the 20-year life of the loan. If both questions are approved, the amount to be repaid would be offset by $9,283,957 in debt service aid (state aid) and shared by all property owners in Essex Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell and Roseland.
