The PARCC consortium developed a fully online assessment that is administered to all Math and English Language Art students from grades 3-11. The PARCC exam is a state-mandated assessment that replaced the NJASK and HSPA exams. In Science, the NJASK8 and New Jersey Biology Competency Test (NJBCT) have been replaced by the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment - Science (NJSLA-S). Like PARCC, the NJSLA-S are computer-based assessments. They will be administered to Science students in grades 8 and 11 beginning in 2018.
