As Instructional Supervisor of Science and Environmental Safety, Shari is dedicated to developing a program that is hands-on, standards-based, and unequaled in academic excellence and rigor in the state of NJ. Shari earned a B.S in Biology from Cook College, Rutgers University. After entering the teaching profession via the Alternate Route Program, Shari earned a Master’s in Education Technology and a Master’s in Education Leadership from the College of St. Elizabeth. She also was the sole recipient of the Human Services Graduate Education Leadership Award for the Graduate program in Education Leadership at the College of St. Elizabeth in 2006. Shari’s teaching experience includes 11 years at Chatham High School instructing AP Biology, CP Biology, Honors Biology, CP Chemistry, ChemCom, CP Physics, and Honors Physics. In 2005, Shari taught 6th and 7th grade science at Mountain View School in Mendham, NJ – her home town. While Shari’s professional interest is science education, she loves spending time with her two children, husband, and labradoodle. Other interests include health and fitness, pets (1 dog, 1 cat, 3 bunnies, 1 parrot, 2 parakeets, 3 geckos, and 3 guinea pigs), gardening, sailing, literature, theater, and opera.
