As the Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, Mr. Baggs is committed to supporting a comprehensive program of studies for all the students in the West Essex Regional Schools District. His goal is to provide student-centered learning opportunities that nurture and challenge the ability and skills of our students, while addressing the needs of our professional community. Mr. Baggs holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Montclair State College and a Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University. Additional postgraduate studies in educational leadership were completed at Lehigh University. He is presently completing a doctoral program in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy (K-12) at Seton Hall University. Prior to his arrival at West Essex, he was a Middle School Principal for the Jefferson Township and Flemington-Raritan Schools; Assistant Principal for Ridge High School, Bernards Township; Curriculum Supervisor for the Hackettstown School District; Director of Bands for the Hackettstown, Watchung Hills, and Butler Schools. Mr. Baggs' hobbies and interests include Yankees baseball, Rangers hockey, travel, cooking, literature, gardening, lighthouses, and the fine and performing arts.
